We Are Hoping to Adopt!

There are a handful of you who probably already know, but we wanted to share the news that Craig and I are hoping to adopt! We've been working with LDS Family Services and were recently appoved to adopt through them. The road leading us up to adoption has been an emotional one as we've tried everything in our power to have more children of our own. But Craig and I value the lessons we've been learning along the way, and we still have so much in our lives to be happy about! You can help, too! We have heard numerous success stories of families finding a child to adopt simply through word of mouth. Although we are going through LDS Family Services, they are able to facilitate adoptions with birth parents who are not LDS (aka Mormon). If you happen to know of anyone considering adoption - LDS or not - we would be very grateful if you would to refer them to our adoption blog where they can contact us directly, or to the nearest LDS Family Services office, where they can get in touch with a case worker to find our profile there. (At this point, our LDS FS adoption profile is only visible to registered birth parents, but that may change soon.) Also, we are soon going to be making adoption pass-along cards (kind of like business cards) that will also have our adoption and contact information on it, which we can send you if you are interested in passing some along to your family and friends. We appreciate all the help we can get, but please don't feel obilgated in any way. So it is with faith and hope that we start on a new road, looking forward to the day when we will be able to bring another little one home to join our family!
