BIKE

I know it's not the most exciting thing to blog about, but I wanted to document Max getting his first bike since he worked pretty hard to get it. Max's birthday is only a month before Christmas, so we don't have many excuses to buy big things for him during the rest of the year. Plus, a bike isn't much fun in the winter months, so after putting a lot of thought into it, Craig and I devised a special chore chart for Max to complete for 2 weeks to earn his bike. Craig is such a good dad and made sure that he had a couple of sit down talks with Max to make sure that he understood that we have to work for things we want. Here is Max on the bike he picked out before starting his two weeks of extra chores.
I love his crazy smiles! Craig is working on attaching a bike bell that Max discovered - thanks to another kid in the aisle checking out all the bike gear. Max begged for it and said he needed it so he could warn people that he was coming. When we went to the park to take his bike out for a spin, it turns out he was telling the truth! There was a little toddler wandering onto the path from the grass, so Max rang his bell a couple of times and shouted "I'm coming!" So cute!

I wish he'd stop growing up so fast!

THats so cute. WE have been working on that whole idea with Josh too- Its fun to watch them work for something.
I loved the story about the bell- it made me chuckle. So cute. Can he ride without training wheels already?
Cute post Andrea!

We love bikes at our house! The bell thing is great! Knowing my kids, they would choose the horn or megaphone. You guys are great parents!
